The mayor of Quincy recently stated his desire for the City to purchase the campus, leading many to assume that an agreement for the purchase of the campus had already been made. To clarify the situation, the ENC transition board has made the following statement:

We would like all to know that we continue to welcome all fair and reasonable offers for its Quincy property and evaluate each offer on its merits and in accordance with the Board’s legal and fiduciary duties. The Board is aware of the city’s desire to purchase the property and looks forward to engaging with the Mayor’s Office and other community stakeholders to explore that possibility.
